I want to buy a Milidon 8 quartlow pro oil pan for my Demons 340 but ive been told by a few Mopar friends that they are prone to leaking at the weld for the drain plug bung has anyone here on Moparts had this happen with their oil pan. Are these pans made sturdy good quality not thin cheap easily dented etc.

I have a Milodon low profile 340 pan for sale in the SB section. I used it for a dyno test and it doesn't leak.

I just had one leak at the front right welded seam, second one isn't leaking yet.

I have had one since the late 80s on my 340 challenger. I hangs down below the K memember about a 1/4" and has been hit by several pieces road debris over the years. It has been on at least 4 motors during those years and has not leaked. I almost didn't reuse it last time but beat it out again and reused it.

The nylon gasket is easy to over tighten and I use a aluminum washer on mine with no leaks.

Hope today's pans are as good as the old ones. luck

FWIW worth...I always considered milidon to be the economy pans out there, there are many that are better quality IMO.
