Seem to be having a problem with my Nissan auto locking hubs.
The drivers side hub does not want to dissengage 0r unlock after you take it out of 4wd. Making all kinds of noise above 25mph. Your suppost to back up several feet after taking it out of 4wd to unlock the hubs but it aint working.

Just wondering,,, Can you replace the auto locking hubs with manual locking hubs ? If i'm going to have to tear into it to fix whatever is going on, I wouldn't mind changing it over to manual if thats possible ?

the greese gets water and craps up till they stick

they most likly have never been repacked and are gimmed up

That was easy, Just found this at amazon.com, but i'll check around for better pricing.

http://www.amazon.com/Warn-29091-Premium-Manual-Hub/dp/B000CQDPIQ

Looks like this should work, says it can be used for converting from auto to manual conversion.

But before I buy, maybe i'll tear into it and maybe it just needs cleaned and regreased, but someday I'd like to change them to manual anyway.

Thanks
