The pistons in this Hemi are machined with the step in the top ring land for dykes style rings. I can have them machined out, but thought that I would first ask if anyone knew of any old inventory laying around somewhere. Childs & Albert are gone now, so old inventory appears to be my only chance. I need a set of DL-20 top rings or a full set of RS50Z rings in 4.285.

This is a re-post as the original one got lost somewhere. Any leads would be appreciated.

bow Supercuda, you da man!

The pistons happen to be JE. So I called their tech line, got someone right away. I happened to have the original DLI spec sheet for this motor and it had the order number for the pistons. It was from 1996 when they had a couple of replacement pistons made.

It took Darrel awhile to access the old records, but they still had them. Which gave him all the info he needed to spec the rings. And guess what? They had a set on the shelf in Ohio! I should have them by the end of the week.

Thank you very much for the lead. It saved me a ton of hassles. up
