I replaced the heater core in the Imperial and wanted to get the hoses on the car before I put the engine back in.
I've been searching and groping the firewall for an hour and can't find the stinking things.

Do I need to pull the fender liner to get to them?

They're actually under the firewall if I remember correctly.

When I replaced the heater hoses on my '72 Imperial, I had to do it from under the car.

Even then, they were tough to get to.

I'd definitely do it before you put the engine back in.

I couldn't find them from the top or the bottom. I found the evaporator drain but not the heater core.

I had to put the engine back in while I had inertia. The heater hoses were on the to-do list before the engine stab but I had to keep going while I was in the mood.

Yes, remove the inner fenderwell. That's how I had to do them on my old '69 Polara. It's not hard to remove.

It's a two piece arrangement so I thought I'd pull the outer and see if that will do the trick.

Thanks.
