E-baying and asking around locally and cannot seem to find basic steelies for my kids '74 Dart

14" 4.5" x 5 hole pattern I think they are 6" with a 3.5" offset. Can someone confirm what will fit without rubbing?

What other cars can I look for to get equivalent rims? Ford, AMC?

Isn't the offset 4.25" on a stock rim?

Check the Wheels/Tires For Sale section. There are some posted just recently

If you have the large bolt pattern, a 15" wheel that will fit well on that car is only a Dodge Diplomat away.

Oh yeah, and a lot of 87-91 4cyl dakotas came with 14" wheels that I believe will work on the large bolt A-bodies without issue.

Why not upgrade to some 15" rims? 15x7 steelies were found on almost every mopar post 74. I pull them off of 5th Ave's and Dippys whenever I get the chance. Usually $5 to 10 each.

I was just calculating.. I could go with 15's

I have 205 70 14 tires on it now.
I guess 205/65/15 would come close to the same diameter.

I got the Offset from a rim that was in the trunk, I assumed it was stock. The car has Cragar SS's on it. they are in sad shape, one leaks badly even after trying to sand the Bead area clean.. not to mention I wanted the steelies for Snows.

Thanks for the options, It will make the search easier.

I found this place when I was starting to look for rims.
They do sell plain steel rims.

stock mopar rims are approx. 1/4" positive offset, so if you have a 7" rim (8" overall width) it should have 4.25" bs.

a 5" rim (6" overall width) will have a 3.25" BS. a 5.5" rim (6.5" overall width) will have 3.5" BS, etc, etc.

if you want 15's, a dippy or 5th ave is your best bet if you have the large bolt pattern. if you have drum brakes in front it will be a 5x4--the small bolt pattern. most ford rims will work on the large bolt pattern if you open up the center register .060 or so. small bolt pattern, newer 5x100mm can be made to work, at least for rolling the chassis around the yard.

Stock steelies should be as easy as the local yard. Stockton wheel is brand new (not what I'd buy for snow tires) and has a poor customer rep.

15 inch steelies are very hard to come by here because they've all been destroyed on demo cars

You probablly would want wider....?

I got a pair for snow tires for my '72 years ago. Pulled them off a early 70'2 A body of some kind. Dodge I think. Unfortunately they're 4.5 bolt pattern and my Valiant is 4" bolt pattern. You could have them, but....shipping from Calif would be steep
