how much of a bear is it to remove? i'm referring to the plate in the engine bay that the master cylinder is bolted to. my wiring bracket that mounts behind it is broken and i need to replace my master cylinder so.....

and what color? Google is not my friend on this as i'm seeing a lot black and some body color.

Pulled mine off with a varying selection of 1/4" extensions to get past the steering column bracketry. A little time on your back but not a hard job.

ALL the plates I've seen were black that were off of original cars. Body color is when the person doing a repaint doesn't mask it off or pull it.

Yup, all were black. Is your's manual or power? Regardless, there are some nuts that have to be removed inside the car. A long extension and deep socket does the trick. You should take the pushrod bolt out of the brake pedal so the pushrod comes out with the master or booster.

These days, just getting under the dash is hard work!

If you don't put that nut back on, your going to have a new rattle. Chrysler didn't spend the money to put it there unless they needed to. Gene
