This is a dumb question but I forgot. How do I adjust the positive stops on my Hurst shifter? Is it 1st and 3rd?

2nd & 3rd. You want it to contact the stop right at that perfect point where it is shifted into the next gear(& no further)

Is the bottom adjuster 2nd and the top adjuster 3rd? I am going to install some modified levers to tighten up the throw and I forgot.

From the Hurst manual:

"To adjust the stop bolts, back the bolts out of the shifter frame until only a few threads remain. Push the stick firmly into third gear and hold. Screw in the rear stop bolt until contact is made. Release the stick and back the stop bolt out one turn and tighten the jamnut. Push the stick into fourth gear and repeat the procedure for the front bolt."
