I need the clips that go under the trim that the top boot attaches to on a 1971 barracuda convertible (not the top boot clips). I looked through the Year One and Mr G's catalogs with no luck. Are there any other sources out there? I'll try to attach a picture of the clips.

I found the clips (with the screw in them), on his web site. But at $139 a set (about $12 each) plus shipping. I didnt look for the other ones I need. Not sure if the other 9 clips are included in the set but might consider buying if they were all included!
Any other sources ?

Talk to Tom on the phone at R/T and explain. If he doesn't have it, he should be able to tell you who does.

I think that's a cheap price compared to the
30 dollars for one clip they were going for.

I just talked to Tom and he explained to me that the longer clips with the screw (Top clip in my first post) will fit in the other trim piece. Which allows you to adjust how tight you want them. So if anyone else needs these clips, call Tom!
It doesnt make sence why the factory would use 2 style clips ?
Anyway thanks Tom and everyone here on Moparts for helping me out again.

IIRC (I may not!) there are no holes in the body where the other style clip is used. It is designed to fit in the trim, then the trim piece is pushed over the metal lip (part of the sheetmetal) and grips it by friction. The other trim piece has holes in the bodywork for the screws which the 'available' clips utilise.

In other words, if you want to use the repo clips in place of the 'grip' clips, you'll need to drill some holes.
It's a few years since I removed mine - but I'm pretty sure that is the case....

I just went out to the garage and looked at mine and there are holes in the body all the way around. Not saying yours have holes to but it saves me from having to drill new holes! Guess I lucked out this time.
