What is the best way to lower a '65 Belvedere. I would like to lower my car between 1 and 2 inches. I don't want to encounter any tire clearance issues. I have found a front brake kit that offers 2" dropped spindles but have not found anybody selling just the spindles.

Thanks for the help!

Mancini Racing has spring hangers for the rear that will lower the car about 1.5 inches. For the front you can just turn down the torsion bars a bit. I'm not aware of a good quality drop spindle available for Mopars. Someday someone will tool up a forged knuckle but I don't think one is available yet.

How much can the front be lowered without any allignment issues? Do you know how the spring hangers are listed? I looked and all I saw was 1 kit for stock springs and 1 for SS springs.

Thanks

No matter how you lower it you will have to have it realigned. But two inches will still allow for alignment without having to change any parts.

A '65 Ply with 21 inch front segment springs would take an AR098 hanger. You can also swap over to a different spring using a different hanger. The 21 inch front segment spring is kind of an oddball.
