A & A is a good choice, too. Probably not a nickels worth of difference in any of the better vendors for a 727 valve body going in a street car. Look in the classifieds, they are there for sale on a regular basis. I bought a used one there last year. Worked good and saved me a lot of money.
If you decide to consider used, don't forget to look at For A Bodies Only, Big Block Dart, and at Racingjunk.
Master, again and still

Go with a low band apply (engine braking).
What year is your low mileage trans? If it's a late 70's model it will have a low ratio kickdown band apply lever and the second gear shift will be barely firm at best.
Now is the time to check that because while it only takes a few minutes to change it, the trans needs to be out to do it.

Ya know I actually have a brand new Turbo Action manual valve body for a 727 but its a forward pattern and I think its low band apply. I put it in my buddies car and then removed it a few weeks later as he decided he wanted a reverse valve body instead. If you are interested in it PM me as I would sell it for a good price. Ron
