My(bottle) fitting has a small leak. Inside the fitting the flare has developed cracks. Can I replace the end of the line somehow without buying a new hose? Summit and Jegs do not list anything/

Yes, you can have a hydraulic repair shop cut off your old hose end and crimp on a new one. I went to 2 hydraulic shops here...one won't touch nitrous lines, said he can't guarantee his end will hold the pressure. The other said no problem.
I had a couple of long lines that had bad places in them that leaked. I cut out the bad sections, had new ends crimped on, now have some short hoses I use to fill bottles with.
I know several guys that use hoses on their race cars w/ ends crimped on by the same shop.

You can't use a regular hose end like you do for your AN fuel lines. Those will not stand the pressure and blow off.

Does someone make a do it yourself repair kit for these lines? Mike

Yes they do, plenty of field install-able steel ends. I have made plenty of them and even tested them to per the NHRA rules. I used the same fittings and hose to custom make all my brake lines on 265 mph dragsters.

I have done some 6 second in the 1/4 mile nitrous racing in a dragster and used plenty on nitrous over the years. Used that stuff on the street too. I installed it on many street cars for friends and customers and made most of the lines myself.

All my fittings are at my race shop, pictures later on.

It's either a #3 or #4 hose and here's the ends from Summit. I also make CO2 hose out this same hose and fittings as WE fill CO2 and nitrous tanks at work. I make all of our hoses for the most part.

Bragging, checkout this blurry picture of a picture of my old dragster I built around 1991. I made every hose on the car, it was injected on methanol, nitrous injected with gasoline and a 4 stage dry sump for the oiling. Not my fastest car, not even close but it had the most hoses on it and I engineered everything to fit in a dragster. It had a belt driven fuel pump on the front of the motor. BTW it was a 632" aluminum dovovan block, pontiac big chief heads and about 500HP of nitrous on it with a progressive controller for the nitrous. It went high 6s.

Wow that is a lot of lines and solenoids!!
Challenger my nitrous FEED line is .425 OD.I have the Big shot kit.I think that is a -6? The link refers to a -3. I am guessing that it the line from the solenoid to the carb base? Are -6's available?

Yes #6 is available, in my picture above my solenoids are fed by #6 90° fittings and line.

Those Aeroquip PTFE fittings use a 45° flare. AN fittings are 37°...make sure you're getting the right stuff.

Hydraulic/high pressure lines use 45° fittings.

Yes, but the nitrous AN lines are 37° aren't they? All AN fittings are 37°. The bottle nuts, fittings to the solenoids, etc. all should be 37° correct?
I'm assuming when you buy a -6 AN nitrous feed line that the hose ends have 37° flares...which is what he has.
If he's getting ready to put a 45° hose end where a 37° end was w/o changing his other fitting on the bottle to 45°, he's going to have a leak.

The stainless, reusable hose ends, from various companies for Teflon lined hose can be used on the nitrous lines. And yes, anything listed as an AN or JIC fitting will have a 37* flare

I may have ordered the wrong part then? If they are supposed to be 37* these are 45*! Description though says they are for Nitrous lines??? Did not see anything listed for 37*.

I think that listing is wrong. That fitting should NOT be a 45* seat angle and be listed as an AN fitting

This may sound wacky, but some fitting manufacturers use a multi angle seat. Think of the female part of the fitting like a serti valve job. A rounded area in the center of the sealing area covers both angles with one part number.
