The Mopar Performance part shown on the Mancini website is a nice piece. You can just see the "Made in Canada" and part number stamped in white. Here's a shot of a 80's vintage NOS part. I don't think you will see much difference.

Stripping the chrome off yours and painting/powder coating is also a good suggestion.

Post a picture of yours if you can. Some of the Direct Connection breathers had chrome wide-lip lids on them. That's a nice part for the A-12 and AAR/TA people.

I agree with these new air cleaners being of good quality. I recently bought the non fresh air setup with a K&N filter. Got mine from JEGS and they were cheaper.

Thanks guys, My chrome air cleaner is not a wide lip one. I don't have any pics. I guess I think I'll look for an original used one first. If no luck, I'll go with the Mancini one. I kind of want to keep the chrome one. And not have it stripped and powder coated. Thanks again

Nice originals seem to pop up pretty frequently in the $300-350 range.

Used ones are stick easy to find along with NOS ones

I ordered the Mopar one for now. I'll be looking for a nice original in the future.
