I pulled the old top off of my frame yesterday and here's what I found: It is like that on both sides. Does anyone make patches for top frames or will I have to find a really good welder/fabricator?

My coronet had some rusty areas in the same place as yours .. My body man welded in some patches and it looked great when he got done. Seems to be a common area on verts for rust..
I would take up Tom on his offer..

I did take Tom up on his offer and he had two patches done in about 1.5 hours. So a BIG shout out to Tom Finoke for his help! I'll post pics soon.
