Gang, is there a link or an archive where this has been done to death? I probably need a set of 1.06 E Body units, and don't want to buy a bunch of problems to save 100.00 Thanks, Bear

Why would you want something you call crap? Personally, Ive heard great things about Firm Feel. Check out Bergman Auto Crafts bars. $275 for a pair. I have 1.15s in my 70 Charger.

I have a set of the firm feel bars in the Duster. They are very very nice quality. Can't go wrong.

Problem with slang is that not everyone understands it.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question. They say there is always the exception that proves the rule. Don't be the exception.

Sixgun -- what's your intention and desire to use the car? What's your setup now? SB/BB? Wheels/tires? street/hwy/cruisin'? Or pylon solo autocross? Hi-speed road course (HSAX/HPDE)?
I've tried many different sizes/rates of TBs... as well as other related mods (leafs, shocks, sway bars, etc)... primarily intended for AX/HSAX/HPDE... I have 1.24 TBs (425 lbs/in)... not bad at all on the street.. great on the hwy/road courses... as well as competition AX.
Although FF shows a limit at 1.18, they will make larger sizes upon request.
Don't be afraid of larger TBs (1.12-1.15-1.18-1.20-22-24 1.24 is the physically largest diameter that will fit (hex opening is 1.25)... and the factory pro-TransAm race cars ran larger and stiffer yet... up to ~1.4). The smaller sizes below 1.10 aren't that much stiffer as you may think compared to the factory stock units... If you go stiffer up front, you'll need to make the rear a bit stiffer as well so to have a good balanced setup.
Can you tell us more about your car?

I have upgraded FF torsion bars on everything I own that has torsion bars and highly recommend them. The bars on my challenger have been on since the 90's with no issues or sag after nearly 100k miles.

Mitch, I ordered 1.15s from Frankens East coast guy,Internet special American made 275 shipped. My car is a 73 rallye and had repop 440 MP springs on the back, stock rally fr/r swaybars .092 torsions up front.Old KYBs on front, air shocks to help the rear.(yeah I know...) Weighs like #3800
Was all iron 440 6 barrel 18 spline dana 60 4.10, 10" rims rear 275/60s and 235/60's front. NO autocross planned, just will need a bit more bar up front for planned upgrades.Got the delrin LCA bushings coming too. Looked thru the hole and I see urethane pushing out ...again! I put 285/70/15s on the back of my clonerunner and I like the 31" height, so I may try to fit those on the chall in the future.

Bergmans. 20 bucks more than some at $85, but already had an order coming. This guy beats his stuff relentlessly, makes me think the R&D is probably up to my "relaxed" high standards. :-)
