I want to add headrests to the bucket seats in my 69 Dart. I bought all of the internal pieces (with the exception of any screws if there are supposed to be any) and the chrome bezels that mount on the seat where the headrest posts slide in. What I would like to know is, is there a scematic from a parts manual that shows how the internal pieces need to be installed? Or, does anyone have a photo of a seat that has had the upholstery stripped that would show the internal pieces in place?

I thought 69 seats were required to have head rests?

Only on cars manufactured Jan. 1, 1969 and later. Early production did not have headrests as standard equipment.

Thanks but that is a bench seat. The bucket seat internals are different.

Sorry, I missed that.

I read that the A and B Body seats in '69 were similar or at least some parts kits interchange. Here is a YouTube video on '69 Charger seat restoration. Fairly early on they show the metal seat back structure:

Great, Glad to help!

The top pieces are pretty obvious how they go in. if the foam is not cut you will have to cut it out for the plastic receivers. put the cover back and add the trim and your in business.
