Does anyone know a source to obtain a replacement behind the seat gas tank and sending unit? If not available I'm not against getting a saddle tank and sending unit as long as it will work with the stock fuel guage. Thanks in advance!

I don't think that is being reproduced. I put a '71 tank into my '64 and even though the cabs look identical they aren't. It took a lot of work to get the '71 tank in. So if you find a cherry 1967 tank it'll probably work but require a little work to make fit.

I believe that Chrysler products used the same basic ohm range for decades so any other Mopar tank should work. I am looking at the later vans with the 39-gallon plastic tank which I believe would tuck in behind the rear end. It only took one time of having a leaky fuel tank in the cab to convince me that that was a bad idea.

I also have a tank from a 1973 Newport that is the right size to fit in the spare tire area but will require a rear bumper type filler.

I used a 22 gallon 1970 ford mustang tank behind the axle on my 85stepside.

new tank, drain plug, sender, rubber sleeve for fill tube, with free shipping 124$ mustang unlimited out of GA.

sender works my gas gauge but is off by 1/4 tank. IIRC is due to it being a 35 gallon gauge with a 22 gallon tank.

I did remove a cross member to tuck it up in the frame more as it is lowered with axle flip. but can be mounted under that piece.

If the sender is actually matched to the tank then the guage should read correctly.
85 dodge truck and 64 mustang both use the 10-73 ohm scale.
But many new sender's aren't calibrated correctly.
