2005 Durango 4 x 4 awd - 4.7 engine 137,000 miles

my oil light is on all the time, after it warms up - then the beep alarm goes crazy - a zillion times - wont turn off...

took her in for another oil change in hope to stop it.

took it to autozone to do ub2 check - they say the computer is not communicating?

maybe a sensor?

any idea's?

thanks in advance -

If the engine isn't rattling replace the sending unit it's cheap enough.

Same problem on 2010 Avenger with 2.4 engine.

Changed sensor....still beeps and oil light still on.

Plumbed in a Tee fitting between block and sensor for oil gauge.

On cold startup has 60PSI oil pressure ...still beeps and oil light still on.

Increase RPM over 1500 and beeping stops and light goes out.

Return to idle speed and oil light comes back on and starts beeping.

Now what???? WTH!!!!!

PSO headed 632 from MM. Cracked cylinder, loose valve seats, low oil pressure, low cylinder pressure.
..... Now its a door stop....
