Hey everyone,
I am putting a dana in place of the 8 3/4 in my barracuda.Will the driveshaft still work?
I am guessing it may neeed to be shortened,but any one with first hand knowledge?Thanks..........Craig

Driveshaft needs to be 1" shorter... Depending on the application parts manual shows a range of .8-1.2 shorter, most are right at 1"...

Not 1st hand knwowledge but since you are shortening one as opposed to finding one out of a dana equipped barracuda, I would suggest mocking it up & seeing how much exactly would need to be taken off that way with the potential stackup of tolerances it will right.

I agree with mocking it up 100%. Not only for the reason Rapid suggested but also because the factory is usually too generous with yoke to seal clearance.

With the suspension fully loaded. Give yourself about 3/4" clearance from the seal to the yoke.
