Hey guys
I am putting my 27 Dodge brothers coupe together and have been wondering what type of electric fans for engine cooling you guys use in your rods ??
It will have a 440 and a 4 speed trans no A/C etc.
I cannot put a clutch or fixed blade fan on it or I would (engine sits low in compartment but is the most practical place for it )
Please let me know what is working for you guys Thanks Matt

I used a griffin radiator with a cooling components 2700cfm fan w/shroud for my 392 hemi in a 40ford and it runs 180 degrees in traffic. check out www.customautoradiator.com they have all kinds for street rods.

Huh
Is that a Spal Fan ??
If you are cooling a 392 with one I should be able to cool a 440 with one ??

It's not the fan it's the radiator..The fan in my truck only comes on in extreme conditions.. It comes on when the a/c is on but when it stopped working for a while I still drove at hiway speeds and ran cool..most any fan will do as long as you have the proper radiator

Your Right !!
I know there is no replacement for a good radiator!
I was thinking that it cant hurt to have a fan that is overkill though

Yeah the spal is a straight blade mine is S blade with the griffin rad W 1 1/2 inch tubes so it cools pretty good for an electric fan. The shroud is also a good thing to have with the fan.
