440 in a 69 Charger has a date casting of 11.14.68 Is this correct for a 69?

1969 model year production started the first week of August 1968. An 11/68 cast date engine was likely used in a car built a month or so later. Check the VIN# stamped on the engine to confirm if it actually came in the car.

Yes. My early Nov of '68 built '69 model has block with an Oct. '68 casting and assembly date.

Seeking:

It is a correct date for a 1969 motor. Are you trying to determine if it's the original engine or just trying to see if it's date correct for your car? The VIN will be on the passenger side bottom side of the block just above the oil pan. There is also some stampings on the front flat engine pad on the top driver's side of the block. It should read E440 HP with a couple of numbers that will be the month and day the engine was assembled. The E designates the year 1969. Let us know what you have?

Yep numbers are there.
I thought the casting date might be a little early but it looks like everything else is in line. Just double checking on casting date.

the casting could have sat around for up to 2 years before being used. Here's another thread on the subject https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/1125036/1.html
