70Drop OP enthusiast Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 223 California	It's been years since my son and I began this project. We started with a 1970 Duster "shell", a 440 out of a motorhome and a junkyard 727. I had three goals: 1) Teach my teenage son about fixing/building cars 2) Have some father-son time at the track and cruising the car (it's a street/strip car) 3) Run 10's, which was a bit of a challenge. It's 3100 lbs, and we wanted it to be reasonable on the street. I'm happy to say that all three goals have been met! I just ran a 10.83/125 mph in 93-degree heat. I'm going to try to attach the timeslip. The real purpose of this post is to thank everyone on this board who has helped with the project. You've provided great advice, as well as many parts for the car. We couldn't have done it without you!

Spend 100 dollars and get yourself a camera so he will have those pictures for years to cherish. I just haven't wanted to spend any money on paint yet. I'm planning to shoot the paint myself, using the color I've already sprayed in the engine compartment.
