REPLACE the seat!
I've been feeling older than my 49 years lately. I feel pretty good after work but the long commute home takes its toll. I thought the seat was partly to blame. The truck is a 2007 Ram 1500 with 240,000 miles. The drivers seat had a few rips and didn't feel as good as the passenger seat, so last week I bought another seat from a 68,000 mile truck of the same model year.
Holy Crap! I had no idea how bad the old seat had degraded. Suddenly the truck seemed to ride better because the seat isn't springy and bouncy. The truck seemed to handle better because the seat kept me in place. It smells like a 2 year old truck. No rips, no stains. I should have done this a year ago.

I have an 06 QC 1500 4x4 with 180K and the same problem. I should but never have. You've encouraged me to look for a seat.

When I did this to my old Caravan, I was also surprised how much higher I sat too! shocked The previous owner's 300+ lbs had flattened the seat more than I realized.

I have an 05 and our year of Rams are chronic for the driver seat blowing out. My seat cloth is still in excellent shape but I'm sitting on the seat frame and it's killing me. My legs go numb, and it must be pushing on a nerve cause my pinky finger on my right hand goes to sleep if I drive for to long
