could some one tell me what air cleaner is correct for a 70 super bee with 383 magnum, and maybe a picture? I'm helping a friend restore his , the cars been sitting for 20yrs and he had an aftermarket one on it , but he thought the original was a dual snorkle, my 68 has the round open on the bottom one.

if it not a ramcharger hood, then it is a dual snorkle:

yes, it had a pie pan, but I am not certain all the details, believe it said "383 MAGNUM" and was orange, but not 100% sure, hopefully a few others can chime in.

yes it is f8 with vinyl top, wheel well mouldings, rear defroster, decor group, etc, it's in the body shop now, I'm doing the motor and trans, column auto.

This is the one in my '70 Road Runner. This is a '70 only air cleaner. Some later ones look similar (the snorkels are slightly different) and people sell them as '70s. If you're not looking to be 100% correct, the later one is fine.

Here is a picture of the 70 air cleaner with 440 Dodge pie tin. note that they have a wrinkle paint finish from the factory. I happen to have one for sale if you are interested contact me(jsawyer@cablespeed.com)

I added this graphic to my ID page to help with the snorkel issue.

The air cleaner pie tin should be orange in color and read "383 MAGNUM".

thanks guys, now if I can talk him into not the using the old aluminum valve covers. I'll be able to make it look a little more correct. I friend of mine has a air cleaner like that to sell I'll have to look at it more closely.
