So, today I purchased a 1977 Jeep CJ-5. It is supposedly a Levi's Edition, and has the seats to prove it. The strange thing is, from what I can find, all Levi's Jeeps were equipped with the Renegade package that included a V-8, power steering, and more. My Jeep just seems to be an oddball. It is not a Renegade, as far as I can tell. It also has several other features that seem to be borrowed from other packages, such as a clock and tachometer that would only come on the Golden Eagle Edition. So my question is, is it possible for a true Levi's Jeep to not be a Renegade? And how exactly are the extra options explained? Could a Jeep be completely custom ordered?
