Does anyone know a manufacturer and model number for a locking gas cap that will fit my 73 challenger with flip top cap? I can find a Stant unit that fits a 74 but it says it won't fit the 73.

Thanks,
Tim

I went ahead and bought a Stant 10571 but it was too big for the opening. I have searched other threads but can't find anything specific to the 73. Any help would be appreciated.

I was looking at a NOS Mopar # 3583561... Anyone know if this will fit?

Will the plastic one fit under the flip top cap?

I have some numbers and pictures to help you get the right one, but it will have to wait until I get home. Stay tuned if no one else chimes in.

I have a Stant catalog from 73-74 in the truck. Still haven't unloaded from Carlisle. I'll grab it at lunch and let you know. I also have a ton of NORS Stant so I may actually have it.

Sorry it took so long, have over 10000 pictures on photo bucket now and it takes too long to find them now.

Here's the 2 different filler necks that I know about on E bodys, identify which on you have. Most likely the one on the right for your 73.

The part number on the right in this picture fit's the filler neck on the left above. Those are Car Quest numbers, they can be crossed.

This what it looks like installed. I have been using them for close to 10 years now on both my cars, they fit and seal perfect.
