I got a 440 that has a 509 mopar performance (Purple shaft cam) has stock 906 heads that have been shaved 30 thousanths to make up for the head gaskrt thickness, only has about 1500 or less miles and has a wiped out intake lifter and lobe on the last cylinder on the passenger side.
I put the propper camshaft break in lube and run Delo motor oil and am concened if I just replace it that it will happen again. Is there a possible problem I need to be looking at here?

MP cams have a problem wiping lobes. Sometimes its the cams fault, but not always. Did you check to see it the lifters will spin freely in the holes? A sticking valve can cause it too. Either way, ya might wanna pull the motor down and clean out any metal that might be in it before ya put it back together.

MUST MAKE SURE THE LIFTER SPINS FREELY IN THE BORE and must break cam in properly AND now you MUST get the metal flakes ouyt of the motor and most likely replace all the bearings
