getting ready to reinstall the motor and tranny in my 67 cuda after many years.

My question is how much tranny fluid do I put into the torque converter? it has been moved around a few time and lost fluid. I will be draining the old fluid.

Thanks Robin

You won't be able to fill the converter before installation. Pour one quart into it and allow the pump to fill the converter by starting in Neutral.

If the trans hasn't been touched, a new front seal would be wise.

Totally depends on what size converter you run. Mine is a 9" and I believe I got 2 qts in it. You can set it upright and tip it back to a out 75 degrees and fill it till it won't take any more, then tip it to 91 degrees and let it drain a little in a catch can.

I’m listening.
