I have a 64 polara I am working on. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the 426 Wedge came out of 42 / 25 / hp/ on engine pad . and also where I may be able to find some repair panels for over the rear wheels. All I can find are for fury's etc. no Polara's. Thanks for your help in advance. Tim

Couple suggestions, first you should edit the thread title to mention 426 Wedge..Your title is vague & lots of people will just pass it by...You need tp get the right people into your thread...

Second this is really a tech question so it should be in Questions & Answers where more tech heads hang out...Maybe a mod will move it..

Good Luck sounds like a really cool car..

the 42 indicates a 426 block. the 25 is probably the machine date(feb 5, 64) hp means its a 365 horse version. the missing letter in front of the 42 will indicate the year. no numbers on 67 and earlier engines, so no way to tell if its the original, other than trying with cast date and machine date... beeps

The block date is 1-29-64 So the machine date should be about right.

Sherman Associates and Auto Body Specialties sell patch panels for early B-bodies. The are the same/similar for the Fury/Belvedere/Cornet. I remember reading somewhere that to fit the Dodge they may need to be reworked a bit around the lip, but we have a 64 Dodge Polara and a 64 Plymouth Fury and the rear wheel lips look similar.

Edit your post to change the title and it will get more responses.
