Does anyone have a pic of how the wires are routed for the hood mounted turn signals on a '68 Barracuda? Are they routed through the hood? Held in place with clips? Other?

Thanks!

That's where I was thinking they went, but the connector at the end of the wire is too big to fit in the hole.

That little hole above is actually to hold in the snap-in wire holder.

Then it goes through the big hole. The wire holder is square and has two tangs to snap over the wire to secure it.

The wire holder in the first pic below is original and has one broken tang so it can't be clipped over.

The other clip locations I show in the second and third pic have been replaced by me with different style screw in holders.

Note: The large factory rubber hood to radiator support seal that mounts at the front of the hood that is right next to the hood indicator. It's very important to cooling a motor. There's a post on FABO where a guy just added a home made foam hood to rad support seal and foam seal around his old warped fan shroud and it took care of his overheating problem.

Here's the area at the back of the hood that holds the wires that go down to the body. Two holes there for two clips for each wire

I just replaced them with one aftermarket screw in wire retainer.

There is one wire holder on the body before the wire joins the main harness. It's weird but mine has always only had one wire going through it and the other loose. Maybe someone before I got the car in '93 pulled something tight not allowing that wire to reach that holder.

Note: hood to cowl seal is present (freshly replaced for good sealing) to keep engine fumes from inside air vent intake at bottom of windshield.

Here's the windshield washers squirters and the two screw in metal hose retainers.

Thanks for the info on the seals and squirters, but this is not my car, only a photo I took for reference.

I understand they're not your car. No ill will.

I'd like to see pics of more original un-restored cars.

The Mod Top car is missing the wire clip on top of the cowl.

Those pics show the square like plastic hold downs.

But the wires seem to go down way to the left of the three tab metal hold down that's not holding anything in your pics.

Does anyone know the length of the two lead wires that run up through the hood? I'll have to see if I can find a set as the ones from my car were long gone when I bought it.
