The rear vertical lift on my power seat stopped working. The motor make noise but it sounds jammed. I read online that the gear goes bad. Chrysler sells it as a seat assembly (big bucks). I see someone sells new gears on ebay. Has anyone here used them? I don`t want to take all apart and put some junk gears in there and they break again.

Very common issue. 80% of these tracks that I buy out of junkyards have at least one stripped vertical lift motor gear. I have used those gears listed on eBay several times with good success. I would recommend using them. They seem to be of relatively good quality. Expecting the replacement gears to never break is probably not a realistic expectation though. They do come with detailed replacement instructions.

I bought the complete motor from this company 3 months and installed it. Works great.

I emailed the seller and he said it was made by a OEM manufacturer. So that was good to hear.

Just didn`t want some china made look a like junk that worked for a week then breaks. I never expect a part to not eventually fail but didn`t want one to fail premature either.

I may just get the whole motor since it doesn`t cost that much more.
