Has anyone taken delivery of these heads yet?
I ordered a set back in March from Summit using a discount code and , still have not yet received them. The expected ship date continues to be delayed every two weeks. I called edelbrock and they assure me it is not a quality problem , but demand is that high. I hope that is true, but I sure would like to have my set .

I haven't heard of a set being delivered, but would like to know.

I'm in the same boat. Ordered from Summit in March and keep getting pushed out dates. When I talked to Summit a couple of weeks ago, Edelbrock's new ship date was end of July. Luckily I wasn't planning on putting them on until winter. Hope I get them by then.

Maybe they are made out of the same type of unobtanium as the smallblock Victor heads?

I got mine from Summit 6 months ago. They are nice and the price is right. Be advised that if you want to use them on a stock bore engine you will have to chamfer the bores. The intake valve is too big to open on a 4.25" bore.

Thanks for that info, that is what I am hoping to do, being I was able to find a stock bore block. What valve train are you using?
Have you selected a cam?

For them to work on a stock bore block you will have to use a Sunnen
AN-980 chamfering cone and notch the block as shown below. I am using Keith Black stands and shafts with Stage V rockers. I am using a "crate motor" style cam of .550 lift from Ray Barton.



P.S. I have always loved Moparts. This is my first time trying to put up a photo on the new system. This is so sad to see a wonderful website go backwards to this idiotic system. It is so unusable and difficult to upload a photo to help someone. A very sad day for me.

Hughes Engines offers a ported set and claim close to 450cfm on the intake. I was going to go that route, but changed direction. Might want to give them a call if you're tired of waiting on Summit.
