I know this probably has been covered but I can't find the post. The trim clips I have installed ok, (Had to drill a couple for screws as the studs had rusted away) but I'm looking for a decent pic of the 2 locator clips. Been trying to figure it out on my own but nothing I have tried makes sense. Wondering if I even have the right clips.

Thanks,
Scott

70 and 71-4 are different clips. 70 are shorter.

I guess I should clarify that I was looking for a picture of 1974 clips installed. Long or short however, I would have nothing to compare with as the original ones were rusted beyond recognition, and no 70 challengers near by with the glass ready to go back in wink

Scott,
I don't have any pics of the clips you are looking for but I just had the rear glass installed in my 72 Challenger by my brother.
He has been in the glass business for over 40 years so he cut his teeth on these. We did not use the locator clips. He said they were more of a pain to work with and if you know what you're doing you don't need them. They just help to position the glass. The glass is in and the trim is installed.
It's up to you if you want to use them but the glass can be installed without them.

Thanks, patosmith.
I think you may have the right idea wink I finally found one google image of the clip installed and for the life of me can't see how it would help. Looks like it helps hold the glass up to proper level rather than hold it in position in the frame. I was thinking of dry fitting and making some removable spacers or whatnot rather than messing with these clips...

work

Scott

Make some "setting " blocks out of hard rubber or plastic.. A local Auto glass shop should be able to help you.. Go to an older store with a "grey hair" preferably over a no spek a de englees... As said above " cut teeth on these"

Not exact on these but there might be some notches in the metal trim.If so, that's where you want to set the "blocks'....
