I picked up a six pack fiberglass lift off hood from a guy in my neighborhood for cheap because it has a few scratches on the scoop. Easily fixable, but I guess he didnt see it that way.
Anyways, It doesnt have any of the underside bracing that I have seen on other lift off hoods. Is this what is considered the race weight type? Or do I need to get the bracing separate? Also, I think it is a 68 style because it goes straight across in front instead of having that little dip on the 69. Can I just take off that front piece from the original hood and mount it to the front of the lift off?
any pics of this stuff would be helpful. Thanks.

Sounds like a race-weight lift off one. My bolt-on Duster one has plenty of bracing underneath.
