Hi all thinking of buying a set of the 440 stealth heads they say that they flow 280/290 cfm out the box has any body brought a set any info will be appreciated tring to keep the original look i allso have a set of the stage v heads that i am going to use if the stealth heads dont work out thank every one
For $900 you can't go wrong. Some flow bench's say 280-290 and some say 270-280 range. Over all, they should do about the same as an RPM head. I don't think stock 906,915,452's fully ported will flow much better than a Stealth or RPM out of the box. What ever you try, let us know how it works out.
Snap your neck, mega G-force launch, is all I want!

I think mid-250's has been found fairly often but I don't have threads marked to back that up. Mine, 254 @ .600, OOTB on a superflow600, 28" water.

I bought a set a few months back. I haven't flowed them, but the castings looked really nice. The valve springs checked out good (I don't have the seat and open pressures handy, but i rember they should work with most mild/mid duration hydraulic cams.) The locks and retainers looked a bit cheap, but I did not notice any issues like I had seen in one of the earlier posts. The chamber bore is fairly large, but the cheap Fel-Pro gaskets that come in the $50 rebuild kit fit fine although I think they are about 0.052" thick?
I will probbably milidly port the heads and have a performance valve job done before using the heads. I will probbably be using a fairly large cam, so I plan to replace the valve springs, retainers and locks.
Anyhow, I think they are really nice for the $$$, and when painted should look fairly stock. Also, the straight spark plug holes won't interfere with stock manifolds or stock type headers which is a problem with the edelbrock heads.
