Can anyone on here tell me how they designed and built their spray bar oiling for a big block using Indy heads and Jesel rockers I have tried ordering the indy kit but they don`t get back to me. I have a 540ci pump gas engine with Indy EZ325 heads and jesel rockers I know that I will need a 0.060" restrictor in my external oil lines but how do you setup the spray bars themselves eg tube diameter, sprays in the tube etc etc

Try calling TD rockers for the spray bar... its
easy enough to make your own spray bars

Thanks guys but my valve covers are already fairly customized with brackets to run the plug wires neatly etc so new covers isn`t really an option that I am after I figured it will be easy to make my own spray bar system I have just never seen a valve cover with this setup in person so just need to know the actual sizes of spray holes, bars diameters etc so I can then set some up from there and any tricks that guys have used when setting theirs up to make sure it is all aligned and spraying in the correct spots etc

Why arent you using PR oiling with the Jesels

spray bars are what keeps getting recommended by them I am using Jesel Solid body roller lifters

I run TD rockers on all my stuff(same as Jesel) and I havent
ever used the spray bar... on the short multi shafts I run
the PR oiling with my solid roller cams... I have a W-2 set
up that uses the common shaft TDs and I use the standard head
oiling on it with a restrictor.. so far I havent hurt any
rockers.. I've been using them for about 12 years now

They seem to use standard brake line with an AN bulkhead fitting. Ends are crimped and I assume welded. The lines follow the inside shape of the valve cover and are held in place with only two clamps and the fitting though the wall. Can't say what size the holes. I think if you aim the holes in the general direction of what you want to lube you'l be fine as the pressure should make the oil "spray" as opposed to just "stream" out.

Harland Sharp rockers have no oil holes to spray and cool the valve springs so I'm thinking of making spray bars to do that.

Thanks for that info Stanton I will have to rig something up so I can spray water etc through it to test spray patterns before I trust the spraybars on my engine

Just make sure you test with oil.. that will be different
than water
