What (if anything) interchanges between 1/2 ton and big trucks (1.5 ton?)? ....and across Dodge/Plymouth/Fargo Brands?

I have a 1941 Dodge pickup that was bought as a basket case.

In the piles of parts are 2 dodge 1/2 ton front caps and front sheetmetal from a big Fargo. Can I bolt 1/2 ton Dodge fenders to the 1.5 ton Fargo grill?

Also, I only have one hinged hood assembly. Are they all the same?

I guess I am going to have to be the lab rat on this one.

I guess I will start unbolting stuff and swap stuff around and see if any of the shapes and holes line up.

Richard I believe the nose cone or grill is the same and so is the hood and the only difference in the fenders are they are about 1 1/2"-2" wider and the wheel opining is larger than the 1/2 ton model.

so the 1 1/2 ton front clip should fit the 1/2 ton truck.

my squattie truck was a 13,500# roofing tar truck for the SD school district and we put a 1/2 ton nose on it and my son used the larger nose on his 4X4 truck on a ramcharger chassis. Ron...

Ron,
Do the doors swap too ? I have a 1939 Dodge TC panel van. I now have time to work on this and want to find better doors.

I think the doors are the same except that the panal truck doors are squared off at the top rear of the door and the PU doors are rounded off. Ron...

Ron, I would never outright question your knowledge but I'm not too sure about the differences you mentioned in the fenders. In this pic you can see that the filler panel below the cab is longer than on a 1/2 ton truck and the fenders extend down to the bottom of it. Comparing this pic to my own '37 makes me think that the 1.5 ton fenders are "taller" too. I've noticed this same difference on my '68 D500 also.

My '37 (actually may be a '36 based on info found in a link on another thread).
