Can someone help me with what the correct rim size is for a 66 Satellite. It's a Hemi, but I assume they were all the same. I am looking to put the original rims back on the car along with the Blue Streak tires. I think I have two original rims and two incorrect rims but I'm not sure. Post a picture if you could too please. Front and back.

14 x 5.5, only on Hemis, (some) 383's, and wagon in 66. VERY hard to find wheels, others were 14 x 5.0. The Hemi rims will have a 5 stamped on either side of the valve stem hole and in 66 will have holes between each lug hole, 67's were the same but didn't have the extra holes between the lug holes.

In the past 25 years I've owned exactly 1 set of 66 hemi rims and 3 sets of 67's.....and I'm ALWAYS looking for them. Wish you the best on that one!

This is a photoshop of the above wheel to show what a 66 looks like (EXACTLY the same, except the 66 has the extra holes)

wow, thanks Scott! Good news, I know what I'm looking for, bad news, none of the 4 rims I have is correct! Ugh. I'd settle for a non correct later rim right now. Need 5! would settle for 4 right now! Are these considered the "big bolt pattern"? I assume there were only 2 bolt circles in that era?

Is there an aftermarket 14x5.5 rim available? Since it's a hubcap car it won't be super obvious as long as I can get the correct width and offset.

As always thanks for the help!

You'll need the 1967 and earlier wheels to hold the correct sized hub caps (68 and newer held a smaller diameter cap style) that's assuming you mean hib caps/nut covers, and not full wheel covers?

I don't follow aftermarket wheels so I can't tell you where to find something similar. Maybe someone else will chime in.

No sorry. Satellite should have the full wheel covers...the UFO looking pcs, correct? The full "hubcap" or wheel cover fits any 14" rim I think....My original wheel covers were taken off early in the life and they are like NOS pcs. Unfortunately it looks like the rims may have been taken off early too! Very odd because not much else was ever touched on this car.

And some of them have a little keyway notch up at the 12 O-clock hole position.

Call www.thewheelsmith.net they are very good at making steel wheels.

SunroofCuda, so what is that rim you pictured there? Is that aftermarket or original? Do you have 4 or 5? I'm interested....

66BBody - all the wheels I sell are OEM - nobody repops these. Wheel Vintiques will pull original centers out & weld them into shells they produce. They will not have these centers. I can't supply them anymore either - these are scarce as hen's teeth. As far as the little notch, MOST of these I've ever had all had the notch, but some did not. I don't know the breakdown of which years had these, & which plants produced them. The closer you look at the steel wheels, the more little differences you discover. Good luck finding some.
