Hi I haVe a 68 road runner and I'm having some electrical issues, I think its a ground problem. It seems sometimes things work and then they don't. Wipers will work periodically, same with blower motor, brake lights, and turn signals.I'm thinking I have a ground problem can anybody give me the locations of ground locations to check, also fuel Gage does not work, new sender installed gage reads e when in tank when I pull out and move float it will work correctly I have the ground clip on the fuel line and checked to make sure its grounded and it is but still reads e.
Any help would be appreciated.

I had a similar problem with the fuel gauge on my '69 RR. I compared the oem sender with the reproduction sender and saw that the repro had a nut and washer on the terminal. Not sure why they're on the repro...the terminal is staked on there pretty good. I removed these and the gauge now works. The connector wasn't making contact with the nut on there.

That's interesting to hear about the sending unit. I've tried three different brands, all new, and none have ever worked correctly .

MA Mopar was cheap in the ground area.if you are going for concourse - battery to head and head to fire wall. Stock fuel gauge grounds through the fuel line. If you are doing a show and go car. More grounds are better my 69 bee I got the largest negative cable I could find. I put the battery ground to block instead of head. The cable had a short whip lead. I used that to the radiator support for the headlights more on lights. The head to fire wall I made a thicker cable. I used a repro fuel sending unit and had a friend weld a 1/4 inch tab on it for the ground cable. The cable is screwed to a tad near tank. By passing the fuel line. Please read mad electric amp gauge bypass and headlight relays. We need to fix what MA Mopar did not. I did all the changes on my car and love it.
