The Fink Brothers (of SS/DA fame) decided to run a SS/KA Challenger as part of their Rod Shop deal, so a 74 Challenger was purchased and made into a race car, and cosmetic changes were made to convert it to a 73 so they could run the more competitive (not sure that is really true) 340. They only ran the car for a short time (anyone have any photos?)

Interesting. I'm not at all in the know but given all other factors the same (weight, etc.) I would think that the 360-4 offered in '74 with all the 340 goodies (cam, carb, etc. - E58 IIRC) would do better given the 20 extra cubes. Unless the 340 is doing it with RPMs.

A bit late but here is the only photo I know of, and also one when I owned the car in 1981.
