I have a 446"-440 with a .678" cam,516heads with 13.5popups compression, stock water pump&housing,1050 Holley, Team G, Glide ran 9.531@140mph/ 5.93@114mph.. My Duster has a .613" cam, 512 kit 440block, 12.48compression flat tops, has the rpm Eddys, has lite water pump&housing. I run 1/8mile what would be the different in putting the lighter bigger motor.

Hmmm, hard to say. You're reducing the engine weight but you also reduced the cam lift and the compression. The Edelbrock heads might flow better than the 516 heads but they might not, all depends on the port work.

I'll say that you won't see any change but the car could be faster or slower depending on the details.

If you are talking about putting the 512 motor in the car where the 446 motor is now based on my personel experince in swapping motors like those two, I would say a gain of .6 to 1.0 in the 1/8th mile twocents shruggyIf you can hook up the additional power work

Well I know the 512 has more torque than the 446"and the 446 shifts at 6600rpm, the 512 will make HP to 5700rpms so I will have to change the chip to somewhere around 6000 but the car has 4.11 gear & 33"tires. The car is between 2000&1900lbs. By the way in the first race we come down to the last 3 cars, 1.319-1.310 60ft. and the 330' was 3.8003 & 3.8001 the first 2 passes of the race.

You are changing a lot of things at once so it is hard to predict anything. The weight is different, the torque curve is different, the HP is different, etc.

There is no guarantee that you'll go faster, especially if the gearing and chassis isn't set up for the new torque curve.
