Everything is definitely different between the two, been there done that. 61-66 and some 67's have the early handles and latches, late 67-71 have the regular type handles and what I call B-Body latches. To the previous post I am parting out a 70 D100 if you need the sending unit.
The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

This was in response to Rhinodart, not the OP.
As far as I know, no 67s have the early style doors/latches. If you know of one with proof of VIN inform me. In most cases someone will say their (insert year) vehicle is different because they don't actually know the year of the vehicle. Titles are often wrong or state the year a vehicle was 1st sold and not the model year.
