Does anyone have any close up pictures showing a detailed round back alternator? Looking specifically for the paint markings, especially where the orange paint smear over the casting is. I will be restoring mine on my 71 Cuda but any year will be useful as long as it is a round-back.

Thank you! I tried to get some pictures of the alternator on an 82 mile 1970 Hemi Cuda this weekend, but it is quite difficult to see the back side.

If you want the best references NOS examples or survivors would be your best bet for the highest OEM detail accuracy. This is one example for you to study (NOS).

You may find it a whole lot easier sending it out for a restoration rather than tackling it yourself, it's a pretty involving process to DIY.

There are two vendors I've used whom are neck and neck when it comes to getting everything as close as possible. First is Dixie Restorations Website , and the other is Plum Crazy Garage Website bothe of them were awesome to deal with.

Thank you, I think it turned out great. I had a set of rubber stamps made to mark the diodes. I found a few original Motorola diodes but none of the numbers matched so I ultimately figured stamping new diodes would be the better way to go.

Thanks for the additional pictures Scott!
