S.e. lower MIch..
My driver side vent window developed some looseness last year and upon looking at it now all the nuts seem to be tight but when I wiggle the bottom of the vent window bar inside the door panel there is back and forth movement.Should it be tight and that little bar above the nut moves a little.Should the be a tight fit or is a little movement normal...

I do not see an icon for attatchments.I have a pic.

The bottom shaft is captured by a strap with a tightening nut ( at least that's how my 67 coronet works)..

Remove the vent glass frame assembly and tighten it.. Not sure if you can access it after removing the door panel ( without removing the vent glass frame assembly)...

I think you're talking about the actual glass, right? Seems like I found sometimes the lower pivot that goes into the strap mentioned can break off and then theres nothing really holding the bottom, just the pivot on top.

The channell that the strap? is in moves left and right a little.Should that be tight.Should that strap be holding on the channell with no movement...

You have lost me..You need to be more specific..

Is your glass seated into the lower frame ( that has the lower pivot that goes into the strap???)

OR has the pivot broken off or become loose??

Your question and your picture do not match..( at least to me)

More pics please

OK.That long aluminum? bar is the frame from the vent window assembly. That nut holds the frame and that strap?rusty looking piece with the bolt thru it.All the bolts are tight. If I hold the frame of the vent window it moves back and forth just a little,The rusty strap is stationary but the frame is wider than that piece so the frame moves.Should the strap,Rusty piece,be tight against the frame as to not let it move, like mabey it is welded or glued to the vent window frame....Or is the slight movement of the frame normal..

I hope this helps....

from what i remember that bolt only locks the back and forth or side to side movement not the up and down. it has been a long time since i worked on a vent window so it is a little fuzzy. any chance that the bolt threads has rust on the back side and it is not allowing it to tighten down all the way. but to answer you question about gluing it i would not. before i did that i would drill a hole and put a screw in it. sorry if i can`t be of more help.
