So solving one problem at a time now it appears my power steering gear box decided to leak after I replaced the old hose that leaked. Seems the pressure was just too much to handle. smile My question now is how difficult is it to fix leaks. Do I have to remove the gear box to work on it or can the seals be replaced while in the car. I've worked on almost everything on the Dart in the past but never had to touch the steering system before.

Thanks...

Someone will flame me for this but mine did the same thing over 6 years ago...I put a 1/2 pint a synthetic brake fluid in with the regular fluid and the seals swelled. The fluid level hasn't moved in 6 years and 11K miles. up

...FAFO...

On my Challenger, I replaced the lower shaft seal off the car but it should be doable from underneath while installed. The upper shaft seal started leaking so I replaced that one in the car. I just had to remove the steering column in order to get the seal off/on. So far, I haven't had any other leaks.
