What is the general consensus on the TCI drag race transmission? Does anyone of you guys run these or knows anyone who has used them? How do they hold up for mainly street use?

I have one of thier 727 street fighters in my challenger now. No issues in about 5 years of street abuse and long highway trips. They apparently had some bad-years in thier quality control history, so consensus may be negative still. But I would buy one of their trans again in a minute if I needed one.

Only things I noticed was they use a 4.? shift lever so the 1-2 shift wasn't as snapping as my old rebuilt unit with the 5.0 lever. but the lower ratio lever is probably better for longevity in the long run.

They tend to do a stock rebuild with cheap parts... then call
it a race trans...being your talking a street car you might not
have any issue... IF they sell it cheap enough... for a race car..
nope.. I would go else where
