got a new speed Demon carb where the front float bowl goes dry after a few days of sitting, why? rear bowl still holds fuel. Completely dry ? If power valve, there would still be some fuel left in bowl.Put a paper towel under front bowl.let it sit and see what happens.

I had a pv leak and it did not show up on my A/F sensors. I knew something was leaking on my front bowl so I removed the carb and mounted to 4 posts using the flange hole pattern. Then I filled the bowls and put a blue paper rag under the carb. The rag started getting wet 4-5 hours later. Over night the bowl leaked down, but not at first. Each time the fuel level was as the bottom of the power valve. I talked to Quick Fuel about this and the tech told me to check my PV by holding onto it with both hands (one hand on the hex and the other hand on the brass tip). He said if you can rotate the pv in opposite directions (lightly) with your hands, the pv was bad. So I tried it and my pv wiggled back and fourth. I decided to test my collection of pv's and eight of them were good and the last one spun, so I threw it out. I even took one that I had cracked and I tested it too. Since it was already cracked, but it was good on the test, I decided to see how much force it took to rip the diaphram. It took a little more force than I would have guessed.
You might want to test the PV and see how it feels.

Well, you could always blame the fuel, that's what the next 50 posts will do!
R. and my eddy 600 goes dry after a couple of days...must be the power valve.
