I pulled ac/heater out about 25 years ago to loose some weight (didnt work anyway). Got the car apart now for new floor pans, mini tub, put in 66 k frame, tie frame rails. What would be an inexpensive alternative, doesnt have to be original just work. Most junkyards around here (probably every where) only have 90's up vehicles which are all ac. Cant find stock non ac/heater locally in my price range. Want to put a heat/defrost in tired of wiping fog from windshield.
Thanks
Tim

Why not just try and find a 62-65 box?

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

I have but they want 300-400 for one. I can buy an after market one for that or less. Thaught some body might know of box from something newer and easier to come by car that a junkyard might have that might be a good fit so I can salvage it.

Wow, 300-400.00? I get 150 for an a/c box. Might give me a call.

Yea I have tossed them out years ago not thinking nothing about it.
Got to looking thru some of my junk piles this evening and found the ac/heater box. I know it needs heater core because it was leaking before I took it out, so was ac and fan motor had died. Looked thru the buy sell section.
