Any of you ever seen a 727 TF with a half-dollar sized hole in the bottom of the converter housing? The hole is in a '63 push button unit from a Chrysler 300 that I installed along with a '68 383 in my 59 Plymouth. It looks like a factory drill job. Purpose?

front seal inspection hole?

I have seen holes up top on the bell for vans/MH for a timing light.

can you see the bottom of the seal with a flashlight?

would be easy to find a front pump seal leak.
