Hello all,
I'm assembling my '68 or so 8 3/4 B-body axle for my duster and I didn't get any brake parts with it other than the 10" drum backing plates. I do still have the 10" drum brakes left over from my '70 Duster's original 7.25. I know the brakes are different widths but I need to know if I can swap some of the parts over.
Specifically, I'd like to re-use the following parts from the narrow 7.25" brakes:
Strut/Anti-Rattle Spring Parking Brake lever Push Rods Adjuster/Adjusting Lever/Adjusting Cable/Cable Guide and the anchor.
Will these parts swap on to my 10x2.5" B-body backing plates? There's no need for me to hunt down new ones if these will work (and nobody seems to want my old brakes anyway). Has anybody done this?

I cross-referenced a bunch of part numbers using the www.partsamerica.com website...it appears that if my backing plates are '69 or later all the parts will fit, but if they are '68 then the self adjusters appear to be different. More information on the interchangeability would be extremely helpful.
