Fellas, looking to replace the shocks in my truck. but there are 80 different shocks available. I am hoping a few of you can give some ideas on which ones for my application you would choose and why.

Application and added complication.

Plain old daily driver type truck, some distance driving and
I tow pretty regularly a car trailer about (5/6000lbs loaded) I have Helwig helper springs but only apply with load, I live on dirt roads and the truck sees very light off road duty.

The complication is I would like to add a leveling kit on the front so the shocks need to be 2" longer than stock.

Tires and wheels are factory units.

thanks in advance
please offer your opinions

I will add that I have no brand (shock) loyalty and budget must be modest, maybe $50-$75 a corner

You don't need longer shocks with a leveling kit. They go on top of the strut assembley.

Monroe reflex, can you tell me why you suggest those?

Nitrousn. It is a two wheel drive truck, the 4wf get a spacer on top of the strut assembly on a 2wd it is a spacer on the coil in the frame pocket

I have Monroe Reflex on my 06 2500 4x4 and they seem to be a decent shock. I did have one leak but they replaced it under the limited lifetime warranty.

I missed the 2wd part. Either way the shock should remain stock and the leveling kit will have an extension for the shock.
